How we work
Before we get started, we would love to get better acquainted! This is our opportunity to get to know more about each other and how we can work together. We believe in full transparency, so getting familiar with our design process is how we stay on task with your project.
01 Design Questionnaire
First things first, we have to get to know you and your project! If interested in working with our firm, please refer to our design questionnaire and include all the details you need us to know. Please don't hold anything back. This is how we understand your vision. You can find that form below.
*Questionnaire can be filled out with a computer or mobile device.
02 Design Consultation
Once we've gotten to know a bit about your project, you will then have the option to schedule a consultation. During this 2 hour window, we will discuss your project, have a walk through of your space, make suggestions, take notes and answer any questions you may have. Together, we will create a plan of action for moving forward at this appointment.
*Note, no design work, material/furniture selections, or rearranging will occur at this appointment.
03 Design Presentation
Now that we have a clear idea of your vision and we've all agreed on what services you need, 5enses will create a design presentation. This guide will help you visualize the style, color palette, furnishings and arrangement of your space, as well as give you a clear understanding of what's included with your project cost. We will also include a description of each room and what our plan is for it. This is also the step where we identify a contractor for your project which is either chosen by you or recommended to
you by us.
04 Measurements
If you choose to take your own measurements, or you'd like us to handle it, this step is critical. At this appointment, expect for our team to be in full work mode to make sure we measure every single nook and cranny. This is to create an accurate depiction of your space for any updates including furnishings, art work, and decor. It's also so we can recreate a realistic depiction of your space in our 3D planner. This rendering will be presented to you on an interactive platform where you can see your space in a whole
new way!
05 Demolition/
Build Out
In order to get the job done, we may decide to move a thing or two, or three...dust may be flying and it may look very "different." Don't fret, this is a necessary step to get you on the road to finalizing your vision!
Expect hardware, finishes, paint, furniture/decor and other additions to be ordered and shipped. This is the moment when everything gets put in its rightful place and things start to take shape. At this point, the last few selections may be on the way for installation.
*We would suggest moving all pets or fish during this phase, it can definitely effect their senses for the worse.
06 The Reveal
This is the moment we've been waiting for...the big reveal. All of your hard work has paid off and your project is finally at the finish line! During this phase, we make sure that everything is in the right place and nothing is out of order during our final walk through. Final payouts are made during this step, as well as photos of the finished product.
